Hi everyone; long time no words but it's always time to put my head out and my "tongue" wagging!!!

I have been working back on some cushions, finally. I believe I haven't done it earlier because the "trauma" my cat caused me...lol

Another thing I haven't told you is about my passion for doilies, yep...D O I L I E S ; I just don't know why....but it's something I have had collected for a while.
Lately I took them out to have a look and for my amusement and surprise, I found far more than I thought I had...Many of them!!!
It's a feeling that I can't explain...they are ALWAYS calling me. 
So I thought to show you some of them.

Outra coisa que eu ainda não disse a vocês,  é a minha paixão por doilies ( aquelas toalhinhas que a vovo' usava), sim ... Eu só não sei porque .... mas é algo que tenho colecionado ha' algum tempo.

Ultimamente eu as tirei  para dar uma olhada e para meu divertimento e surpresa,  encontrei muito mais do que eu pensava que tinha. Montes delas!

É uma coisa que eu não consigo explicar ... elas estão sempre a me chamar.

Well...this morning I woke up with the determination I would post few words here...

I have been so tangled up with my responsibilities and thoughts that I have had no strength to talk about anything or something...but then...I got an email to remind me about something I truly believe.

I believe we live our thoughts...and we pay the price for them as well. I know for sure I do; I also have been paying for my not so good ones. I get a bit “disappointed” with myself when I am not in a good “spirit”. I feel as though I should do better and I start digging myself even deeper in them- which is not good at all.

We create our life with and in our thoughts…good or bad…they materialize. You and only you bring it to yourself; you are the only one to be blamed for the things you are not happy with.

… Eu acredito que vivemos os nossos pensamentos ... e nós pagamos o preço para eles também. Eu tenho certeza que eu pago , eu também tenho vindo a pagar pelos meus não tão bons. Eu fico um pouco "decepcionada" comigo quando eu não estou em um "bom astral". Eu sinto que eu poderia fazer melhor e ai começo a afundar-me ainda mais neles, o que não é nada bom.

 Nós criamos nossas vidas com e em nossos pensamentos ... bom ou ruim ... eles se materializem. Você e só você colocá-lo para si mesmo, você é o único a ser culpado pelas coisas com que você não está feliz.

Having said that, I also recognize I have been stuck in a vicious cycle. I‘ve lately been caught up in my “bad thoughts” and certainly creating more negativity in my life.

While I have thoughts about not being good enough; not happy enough; not creative enough…. my mind is creating more of this in my life!!

Dito isto, eu também reconheço que tenho estado num ciclo vicioso. Eu recentemente me pegei em meus "maus pensamentos" e, certamente, criando mais negatividade em minha vida.

 Hellooooo ... Pare com isso agora.

 Enquanto eu tiver pensamentos sobre não ser boa o suficiente, não está feliz o suficiente, não ser criativa o suficiente .... minha mente está criando mais disso em minha vida!

So…for this matter I have been drawing more, stitching more, reading more, experimenting more and drawing some more. One thing also has happened…I haven’t finished many of them either - LOL :O) - but I am aware of it and making sure I still walking (happily) towards my great future!!!

The “build up” before Christmas was tense but delicious.

Preparing the surrounds; putting the Christmas tree and decorations up; sorting the presents; wrapping them up...and plus...this year I proposed to cook some pretty and healthy gingerbread cookies!!!

"Little G" was soooo excited with all of it...but not much impressed with the cookies...the healthier they are, less impression they make on her.

The objective of this fuss is to see Christmas through a child’s eyes. That was I proposed myself to do and I did.

A antecipação do Natal foi tensa mas deliciosa.

Prepar o ambiente; montar a árvore e decorações de Natal; por se a pensar nos presentes; embrulhá-los ... e mais ... este ano eu me propus a cozinhar alguns graciosos e saudáveis "gingerbread cookies". rsrs

Little G estava tããão animada com tudo isso ... mas não muito impressionada com os cookies ... quanto mais saudáveis são, menos impressão eles fazem sobre ela.

O objetivo de todo esse tipo de "confusão" é ver o Natal através dos olhos de uma criança. E foi exatamente o que eu propus-me a fazer e eu fiz.

Christmas this year was spent with my husband's family.

We spent it at fantastic coastal place and even with the heavy and constant rain we all had a fantastic get together and enjoyed a lot of relaxing time.

After all Christmas celebrations we had one more celebration to "overcome":

Our Fourteenth Marriage Anniversary. That's right 14 years together, as my sister says "we can get less for murder"!!! LOL

O Natal este ano foi com a família do meu marido.

Passamos em um lugar fantástico na praia e mesmo com a chuva forte e constante, todos tivemos fantásticas férias.

Após as celebrações de Natal, tivemos mais uma festa para "ultrapassar": o décimo quarto aniversário de casamento. Pois é, 14 anos juntos, como minha irmã diz "podemos “pegar” menos por homicídio"! LOL :O)

Now 2011 is here and life is back to a kind of normality.

All the free days I had are gone and not all the things I had planned are done. I wish I could tell you I had lots of things to show you but unfortunately it's not the case. But let me tell you... I had a great holiday.

Já é 2011 e a vida voltou a um tipo de normalidade.

Todos os dias livres que eu tive já se foram e nem todas as coisas que eu havia planejado foram feitas.

Eu gostaria de pode mostrar vos montes de coisas novas que andei a fazer, mas infelizmente não é o caso. Mas deixa me dizer...minhas férias foram óóóóóótimas!

Agora que todas as celebrações já se foram... um novo começo é devido .... eu não faço Resoluções pro Ano Novo ... Eu sei que tenho muitas coisas para fazer, a mudar, a entender ...sem falar de territórios a conquistar...eu faço e farei o meu melhor! :O)

Christmas is around the corner

You probably are wandering what has happened to my blog...it's constantly changing...well…it's the result of my inquisitive mind - I am always trying new settings and different ideas. Not saying I haven't worked out really well how this whole design settings work, LOL.

Vocês provavelmente estam a pensar sobre o que acontece com meu blog ... está constantemente a mudar!? ... Bem .. é o resultado da minha mente - eu estou sempre tentando novas configurações e idéias diferentes. Sem falar que ainda não aprendi muito bem como essas configurações funcionam! Rsrs

Today I just can say I've been busy preparing little things for Christmas which require long and dedicated time. I don't have much planned for this year (as usual - if I could skip few days I would go straight to 2011). A good relaxing time is the only item on my list. I deserve a good soak up in the sun, if we are blessed with some lovely, sunny days. Sure enough I will be working, there's no other way...but I can assure you, I will do all I can to have some quite time and a swim. I also thought of having a bit of rearrangements around the house. My home has been neglected for a while and absolutely needs freshen up. I might even put my plate collection up. I have been very doubtful about it, but I think it is “bloody” time for it to get out of the box.

Hoje eu só posso dizer que tenho estado ocupada preparando “coisinhas” para o Natal que exigem dedicação e muito tempo. Ainda não tenho nada planejado para este Natal (como sempre...se eu pudesse pular alguns dias e ir directo ao comeco de 2011....ja estaria lá). Uma parada agradável e relaxante é o único item na minha lista. Eu mereço e necessito um boooooooom banho de sol (se é que seremos abençoados com alguns dias ensolarados neste verão). Com certeza eu vou estar a trabalhar, não há outra maneira ... mas posso garantir-vos, vou fazer tudo que posso para ter uma boa folga e quem sabe até uma nadada. Também pensei em fazer alguns rearranjos pela casa. Ela tem estado “abandonada” por algum tempo e absolutamente precisa de um ar novo. Eu poderia até colocar a minha coleção de pratos a mostra. Sem dúvida, acho que chegou a hora para ela sair da caixa.

Besides the whole craziness of the season...kid asking for every single thing she sees, school concerts, work, visitors, court case (which THANK GOODNESS is in its last legs) I have been making some presents (yep...they will have to put up with it) and doing some research about few different techniques, some products and some odd ideas I can do myself at home with little resources for next year. And it’s all because I'm constantly questioning my work, myself and my skills. I know, I know...I should be the one who shouldn't be worried at all...Sorry but...that's the most complicated part, LOL Am I so hard to please?????? LOL

Além de toda a loucura desta época do ano... crianca pedindo tudo que ve, shows na escola, emprego, visitas, caso em tribunal (que GRACASADEUS está em seus últimos “dias”) eu tenho feito alguns presentes (pois eh tem gente que vai ter que aceita-los rsrs) e tenho estado a pesquisar algumas técnicas, alguns produtos e algumas idéias estranhas que eu tive e que eu possa empregar em casa com o uso de poucos recursos para próximo ano. Isto tudo porque estou sempre a questionar meu trabalho, a questionar minhas habilidades e eu mesma... Eu sei, eu sei... eu deveria ser a única que não deveria estar preocupada...Desculpem por este comentário, mas ...esta é a parte mais complicada, kkk...Será que sou tão difícil de agradar ?????? rsrs

A night to remember

Last night was a night to remember...well I should say to forget! Since I have been in a "funny" situation (not funny ha-ha) for quite a while...I’ve began to have my little “art time” more often. Unfortunately, with those “funny” situations comes the insomnia as part of the deal. This can help when the curiosity and creative juices are flowing, but it wasn’t the case last night, so I put up my sleeves and jumped to do some tasks I've been "putting off" for a little while. It’s not that I didn't want to do them, it’s because I’ve been so caught up in my world of responsibilities that I just didn't have the precious time they so need. But I have good news!

……

Hoje foi uma noite para recordar ... Bem, eu quero dizer: para esquecer! rsrs. Desde que eu tenho estado numa situação "engraçada"(não me refiro engraçada haha) por um tempo, eu começei a ter o meu pequeno “art time” mais frenquentemente pra “desopilar”. Infelizmente, com as situações “engraçadas” e estressantes, vem a insônia de brinde. Ela pode ajudar quando a curiosidade e a criatividade estam a fluir. Como essa noite não foi o caso,  arregacei as mangas pra começar a fazer algumas “coisitas” que eu tenho “posto de lado” por um tempinho; não porque eu não queria fazê-las,  mas porque eu estou tão envolvida no meu próprio mundo de responsabilidades que eu não tive o tempo para o carinho que elastanto  precisam. Mas eu tambem tenho novidades!

Just explaining… When I started posting my little "art time" results, different and unexpected  things started to come!!!! A new home has been offered for two of my chickens: I mean my watercolours paintings, yep ;O) ; and I also got a nice order for cushions and some gift cards!!!! What about that?? I know, I know...Yahoooooo!!! (Can you see me here doing the happy dance?) It’s so gratifying to know there are people out there who appreciate my work!  :O)

So...I need to get them ready or at least start preparing them!!!

Meanwhile I leave you with something to look!!

Explicando ...quando comecei a postar os resultados do  meu pequeno “art time” como uma forma de “desopilar”,  vieram alguns resultados ótimos e inexperados! Um novo lar foi oferecido pra duas das minhas galinhas –minhas aquarelas- (han han) ;O) e  também recebi pedidos para almofadas e algumas etiquetas pra presente!! Que tal essa, hein?? Eu sei, eu sei ... Yahoooooo! (estam aqui a me ver a pular de legria??) É tao gratificante saber que há pessoas por esse mundo a fora que apreciam meu trabalho!! :O)

Portanto ...eu preciso tê-los prontos ou pelo menos começar a prepara-los!!!

Enquanto isso deixo algo pra voces olharem!!!

Pois é, ja andei a fazer milhões de coisas diferentes na minha vida, rsrs....
