My heart goes to...

Hi everyone;
Today my heart sang for a good cause. I just finished painting a set of Mug & Bowl and I will donate it to Animal Rescue Queensland to help them rising funds for looking after and finding new loving homes to those homeless precious creatures that have been abandoned by their previous owners. ARQ has been doing a FANTASTIC job and they are doing for love.
If you can help anyone why wouldn't you...

 Hoje o meu coração cantou para uma boa causa.

Acabei de pintar um conjunto de caneca e prato de cereal  e vou doá-lo para Animal Rescue Queensland para ajudá-los a cuidar dessas criaturas preciosas sem teto  que foram abandonados por seus donos. ARQ vem fazendo um trabalho fantástico e estão fazendo por amor.

A day in the office

As I am with a little bit ancious to have some little things done...I took a time for my relexation and "played" with my drawings.

The “build up” before Christmas was tense but delicious.

Preparing the surrounds; putting the Christmas tree and decorations up; sorting the presents; wrapping them up...and plus...this year I proposed to cook some pretty and healthy gingerbread cookies!!!

"Little G" was soooo excited with all of it...but not much impressed with the cookies...the healthier they are, less impression they make on her.

The objective of this fuss is to see Christmas through a child’s eyes. That was I proposed myself to do and I did.

A antecipação do Natal foi tensa mas deliciosa.

Prepar o ambiente; montar a árvore e decorações de Natal; por se a pensar nos presentes; embrulhá-los ... e mais ... este ano eu me propus a cozinhar alguns graciosos e saudáveis "gingerbread cookies". rsrs

Little G estava tããão animada com tudo isso ... mas não muito impressionada com os cookies ... quanto mais saudáveis são, menos impressão eles fazem sobre ela.

O objetivo de todo esse tipo de "confusão" é ver o Natal através dos olhos de uma criança. E foi exatamente o que eu propus-me a fazer e eu fiz.

Christmas this year was spent with my husband's family.

We spent it at fantastic coastal place and even with the heavy and constant rain we all had a fantastic get together and enjoyed a lot of relaxing time.

After all Christmas celebrations we had one more celebration to "overcome":

Our Fourteenth Marriage Anniversary. That's right 14 years together, as my sister says "we can get less for murder"!!! LOL

O Natal este ano foi com a família do meu marido.

Passamos em um lugar fantástico na praia e mesmo com a chuva forte e constante, todos tivemos fantásticas férias.

Após as celebrações de Natal, tivemos mais uma festa para "ultrapassar": o décimo quarto aniversário de casamento. Pois é, 14 anos juntos, como minha irmã diz "podemos “pegar” menos por homicídio"! LOL :O)

Now 2011 is here and life is back to a kind of normality.

All the free days I had are gone and not all the things I had planned are done. I wish I could tell you I had lots of things to show you but unfortunately it's not the case. But let me tell you... I had a great holiday.

Já é 2011 e a vida voltou a um tipo de normalidade.

Todos os dias livres que eu tive já se foram e nem todas as coisas que eu havia planejado foram feitas.

Eu gostaria de pode mostrar vos montes de coisas novas que andei a fazer, mas infelizmente não é o caso. Mas deixa me dizer...minhas férias foram óóóóóótimas!

Today I have only a few things I would like to share with you; some are mine and others are things that I’ve seen and made my heart sing.

Agora que todas as celebrações já se foram... um novo começo é devido .... eu não faço Resoluções pro Ano Novo ... Eu sei que tenho muitas coisas para fazer, a mudar, a entender ...sem falar de territórios a conquistar...eu faço e farei o meu melhor! :O)

Hoje eu só tenho algumas coisitas que eu gostaria de compartilhar com vocês; algumas são minhas e outras são coisas que eu vi e que fizeram o meu coração sorrir.

AND DON"T FORGET

Unconditional Love Day

Today I had my unconditional love tested once more...

My adorable cat showed me how much she ADORES my cushions. The last of survivors is gone. I mean gone gone…. She might’ve had a lot of fun last night!! But I can assure you it wasn’t much fun to find it behind the lounge and in pieces this morning. Lots of thoughts came rushing to my mind: should I put her in to the microwave, break her neck, let out and NEVER open the door again? But then…when I look to her pretty face with that big round blue eyes… (sighs) my heart melts!

Anyway…that’s one of the reasons I put new ones away from her reach and took doing some drawings and paintings instead.

Hoje eu tive o meu amor incondicional testado mais uma vez ...
Minha amada idolatrada (salve, salve) gata me mostrou, mais uma vez, o quanto ela adora minhas almofadas. O último dos sobreviventes ja era. Quero dizer ... em pedacos. Ela deve ter se divertido um bocado na noite passada! Mas posso assegurar-vos que não foi muito divertido encontrá-lo por trás do sofá e em pedaços. Milhões de pensamentos passaram pela minha mente em segundos:  deveria colocá-la no microondas, quebrar seu pescoço, deixa-la para fora e NUNCA mais abrir a porta? Mas... quando eu olho para aquela carinha bonita com aqueles olhos azuis grandes e redondos ... (suspiros) meu coração derrete!
Enfim ... essa é uma das razões pelo qual eu coloquei algumas almofadas longe do alcance dela e passei a desenhar e pintar no momento.

It had been quite a while since I done some painting. Drawing is something that I do more often; I have a visual diary and a pencil close by most of the time.

Last year I started painting a canvas for a present for my hubby to be given on Father’s Day…lucky me I didn’t set the year!!!! (Remember what I've said about my "wait till I have better idea" attitude? well...). Just to illustrate today,  I've digged deep into my pile of drawings and picked some of my first ones in Australia to show you...

Fazia tempo que eu não pintava. Desenhar é algo que faço com mais frequência, tenho um diário visual e um lápis a mao sempre que posso.

Ano passado eu comecei a pintar uma tela pra presente de dia do pais para o meu marido... sorte minha que eu nao marquei pra que ano!! (Lembram-se sobre o meu “esperar até que eu tenho uma idéia melhor” atitude?). So' para ilustração hoje, eu cavei fundo na minha pilha de desenhos e peguei alguns dos meus primeiros em Australia para vos mostrar...
